Painting

B has a new hobby...painting! He is painting small molds made from plaster (I think). This set happens to be a train. He was very excited in the store and couldn't wait to get home and get started. He seems to like to do crafty things, probably because he has a mother that likes to do crafty things! I'm not turning him into a total wimp though. We also went to the school playground and played basketball today. Wow! It's going to be exciting when he gets a little older and starts to really get into competitive sports...he seems to have a natural athletic ability. He can dribble with either hand and I taught him how to protect the ball with the other arm while he's dribbling. He can chest pass and bounce pass. And he's not too bad at shooting either. He gets a little taller and stronger and he won't have any problems at all. I even started to explain the game to him...about double dribbling and basic plays - the give and go and head faking before you shoot - he understood them and did exactly as instructed. I guess I'm setting myself up for bleacher-butt if he decides to try out for all these sports later. Ha! Ha! Oh, well...I was involved in EVERYTHING and loved it.
