Another Great Weekend!
This weekend was awesome!! B’s cousin, Marissa, spent the night with us on Saturday. We had so much fun! She got to pick the outing for Saturday. Her choices were Chuck E. Cheese’s or Monster Mini Golf. She picked the latter, so we went to Moe’s for lunch first. They had fun under the black lights at Monster Mini Golf and they played video games afterward…and eventually ended up with more of those silly prizes. Then we went back to our house and they played hide-n-seek, chased each other around the house, and played with the dog. About 5:20 we left for Choo-choo Pizza (B renamed Pizza King when he was 2). After that we stopped by Jimmie’s house to visit and play with his dog…Bear. Bear loves kids and is a very well-behaved, trained dog…you tell him what to do and he does it! Jimmie made him do tricks and they thought that was funny. Marissa and Jimmie really hit it off and were teasing each other back and forth…it was cute. Jimmie pretended to eat dog food and they kids were thoroughly disgusted! She had her Heely’s on and Jimmie said next time she comes over to stay with me he will take us all to Great Skates. She loved that idea, so I called her grandma the next morning to see if I could keep her longer to take them skating. Marissa loved it and got the hang of it pretty quick. B, on the other hand, didn’t care for it at all and sat out most of the time. She is going to play softball this year, so we took both of them to Dick’s Sporting goods to get them appropriate gloves. Marissa picked one out that had pink on it and Jimmie teased her that “real” ball players don’t have pink gloves…but she was pretty determined! He had fun finding her one that she liked that had pink on it! I told her that was her birthday present from me and B. We are going to have her over so we can practice with them before the skills assessment. Oh – she lost a tooth at my house Saturday night! As they were laying on the couches watching a movie and trying to fall asleep, B comes running into my room and is very dramatic about telling me that Marissa lost her tooth and there’s blood everywhere and I needed to come and help her get cleaned up. It was hilarious! Here are a few pics of them having fun…not sure what’s up with the bowl on his head! Maybe I need to find him some funny hats to play with! He was wearing it earlier this week and when we made eye contact he said, “Top of the morning to ya!” with an Irish accent. You can’t even imagine how hard I laughed!
